Zamira Hindes Wartenberg "Del Arte Theater"

The creative complex jigsaw of Zamira Hindes Wartenberg combines an expressive artistic experience, rich in shades and symbolic thinking, with a metaphysical reality, advancing the dialogue with a tendency towards art and society. The exhibition entitled Del Arte Theater exposes the artist's variety of images in large scale oil paintings. It is obvious thai her work is the outcome of passion. She also skillfully integrates the many contrasts into a general wholeness, an abstract narrative combined with symbols and images. As a rule, her associations deriving from cultures and esthetic formative values become a philosophic, spiritual reality. From a personal perspective, her works reveal the Jewish tradition, fascinating yet restraining in a framework, on the one hand and on the other hand the problems of feminine identity and aspiration for freedom.

These feelings are expressed by a warm palette and expressive layers on canvas, expression to her emotions. These components fill her paintings with a purely artistic atmosphere aside from the inner feminine voice expressed by symbols emanating from the spiritual world and the extrasensory perception of Art.

The artist belongs to a group of artists who continue in our post modernist times to explore the true nature of Man as such. Using an abstract, figurative painting technique based on reality and environment, full of details and emphasis, the artist exposes the process of her work and her never-ending search for an artistic path to follow, as a means of personal expression Her works entitled for instance The Procession, The Vagabond, "Let (he Group of Boys Play Before Them", and The Tiger's Glance at the Moonlight are only a small part of her symbolic topics.

The artist's compositions consist of figures and animals in clear contours, forming part of the background and colorful scenery of the theater, which has an important influence on her work

The complex creations are the echo of Zamira Hindes Wartenberg's and her entourage's world of aspirations and fears, alienated and role playing people and folklore, typified today, at the end of post modernism as the Del Arte Theater.
